1. Foreword
Polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether is an aliphatic bicyclic group resin is a good crosslinking agent. Because of its molecular structure contains a lot of ether bond, which has a low viscosity, good flexibility and other characteristics, but also an excellent toughening epoxy diluent; the same time, due to its good solubility in water, can also be used as a glass fiber sizings and fabric finishing agents. In recent years, with a phase transfer catalyst system synthesis of poly ethylene glycol dimethyl ether study more, but the poor economy and maneuverability, while traditional caustic closed loop process, the water-soluble product yield is low. In this paper, the use of conventional Lewis acid catalysts (boron trifluoride diethyl ether) Process for preparing polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether were studied, including the ratio of raw materials, reaction time and temperature factors, and impact of a closed-loop process conditions to prepare a to meet user requirements polyethylene glycol ether.
